We think bright looks good on us, wouldn’t you agree?

These are unusual times, so for the next little while we’re taking a break from our usual Visit Wagga Wagga programming. We’re still going to bring you the best of our city + surrounds, just in a slightly different (brighter) way!

Things have been a little dull around the place recently (ah hum, we’re looking at you drought, bushfires and global pandemic health crisis). So, we’re here to pump up the bright through Brighten Up Wagga Wagga.

We’ll be throwing colour all over our Visit Wagga Wagga Instagram and Facebook social media pages. As always, we’ll be championing our Wagga Tourism Partners, who are all doing an amazing job in the face of such adversity. There will be celebrations, giveaways, activities and more.

We also want you, our Visit Wagga Wagga community, to bring the bright. Share our Visit Wagga Wagga content and upload your own bright photos from our Wagga Wagga + Surrounds region and hashtag them with #brightenupww and #visitwagga.

Back to our roots

If Covid-19 has taught us anything, its that we don't have to go without in our Wagga Wagga + Surrounds region, thanks largely to our amazing local producers and suppliers.

Which is why we're going 'back to our roots' to showcase some of the wonderful 'grassroots' businesses we have right here in our own backyard and sharing their stories to hopefully have you rooting for local more often!

Quarantine pastimes

We had the bright idea of developing some Wagga Wagga themed boredom busters.

Visit Wagga Wagga has created a series of fun digital puzzles for you to have a go at! All images are shared from our Visit Wagga Wagga Instagram community.

Mindfulness colouring

Visit Wagga Wagga partnered with local artist Stephanie Adams to develop a uniquely Wagga Wagga themed colouring sheet featuring native botanicals, fauna and tourism attractions.

Download the A4 colouring sheet below and start adding your own colour to this beautiful Wagga Wagga design. Also, keep an eye out for the design on postcards in cafes and businesses dotted around the city. Pick one up, colour it in, write a lovely message to a family member or friend, pop a stamp on it and send it off. We might not be able to travel to see people at this time, but we can still show them we're thinking of them!
