At the heart of the Wagga Wagga Art Society (WWAS) lies a passion to ignite creativity and cultivate the vibrant world of painting and the arts in our region. Founded in 1949 by a group of visionary art lovers, the Society has been a trailblazer in nurturing the practice, appreciation, and education of the arts in the Wagga Wagga district.

WWAS offers its members a welcoming studio space where creativity flourishes and connections are made, with the studio open each week for artistic exploration and social exchange. They celebrate the work of members by organizing exhibitions and events that bring their art to the community, with the studio gallery open on Saturdays for curious visitors and travellers.

Through workshops and educational initiatives, they provide opportunities for members to refine their craft, while also offering a platform for teachers and practitioners to share their knowledge and inspire future generations of artists.
