Cootamundra Lunch Train

East Coast Heritage Rail
Join East Coast Heritage Rail for a delightful day of heritage rail travel through the heart of the Riverina aboard their beautifully restored 1930s passenger carriages.

Departing from Wagga Wagga and Junee, this special excursion journeys through some of the region's most picturesque rural landscapes. Settle back in your comfortable heritage carriage and enjoy the ever-changing scenery of rolling farmland, open countryside, and charming country towns as the vintage train makes its way north toward Cootamundra.

A highlight of the journey is the opportunity to travel over the iconic Bethungra Spiral, one of Australia's most remarkable feats of railway engineering. This unique section of track, designed to help trains conquer the challenging grades of the Great Dividing Range, allows passengers to witness the railway looping over itself in a spectacular display of engineering ingenuity. With opening windows throughout the train, guests can enjoy uninterrupted views and capture memorable photographs of this famous landmark as the train winds its way through the surrounding countryside.
