Bidgee Blues Club presents: Tom Waters & Geoff Achison - Brush with the Blues
Iconic Australian guitarist, Frankston’s Geoff Achison met UK sax prodigy Tom Waters on his last tour of England. Encouraged by mutual friends, Geoff invited Tom to join the band on stage and, behold, it went off as though they’d been playing together forever.
Now, the pair have joined forces in Australia to present “Brush with the Blues”, a unique showcase of Blues, Country, Rock and Funky Jazz. Both bring their own catalogue of original music to the project to be played alongside some classic roots gems. Dedicating the show to the late Jeff Beck with whom Tom has recorded, the show’s name comes from a Jeff Beck number that Tom has played live alongside Jeff at London’s Ronnie Scott’s Club.
