During the summer months the Club focuses on urban/street events in Wagga Wagga. Events are generally in the format of a score event where runners nominate a course time of either 30min or 45min during which time the competitor attempts to find as many controls as possible in any order.

During the cooler months, its focus is on bush events on maps located in and around Wagga and some that are 45 minutes drive from Wagga.

It involves navigating through the bush, parks, or streets with the aid of a specially produced map and an orienteering compass, with the aim being to locate checkpoints (controls) on various natural and man-made features along the way, such as a boulder, track junction, bench seat or streetlamp.
