Outdoor discoveries

Riverside: Wagga Beach
“I like going to the beach. I love to make sandcastles and splash and throw sand in the water. I love the noise it makes (the sand on the water), it's like 'shhhhh'.”

Victory Memorial Gardens
“I love to go to the playground at the memorial gardens – it's my favourite.  We go there after Story Time (at the library).  Sometimes we go with (our friends) Rory and Tully and we chase the ducks, it's funny when they fly away!"

Botanic Gardens Zoo and Aviary (pictured above)
“At the Botanic Gardens I like to feed the guinea 'piglets' at the zoo. The swings and the round-and-round slide are my favourite at the playground, they make me spin too.  Sometimes we play hide and seek in the cactus garden with Nana.  Hide and seek is my favourite game.”

Indoor fun

Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre
“I like going to the theatre.  We have seen The Wiggles and George's Marvellous Medicine and lots of other shows. I like when they use puppets at the theatre.”

Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre (pictured below)
I love the Oasis.  The inside pool is where little kids swim and the outside is where big kids swim, because that's where my brothers do water polo.  At the pool I like to go underwater and in the 'round-a-bout' (the whirlpool), but it's not safe without a parent.  Sometimes after I swim we go on the playground, there is a red slide there.”

Flip Out
“I love to go to Flip Out because I love jumping into the fun foam from the 'jumpoline' (trampoline). Scarlett's favourite part is jumping on the 'jumpolines'. The other day they had a jumping castle.  I also love the big, fat green mats.”

The best ever little big day out in Wagga

Darcy shares her ultimate day out
“My best day would be playing on the playground at the pool (Oasis) after a swim.  Then we would go bowling (at Wagga Wagga Bowl and Diner). I love the skittles when they are knocked down. We went for my brother Felix's birthday. I would take my sister Scarlett and my dolly and Mum. I like bowling the most. It's one of my favourites. Bowling!”
