An avid record collector, DJ, sound designer and electronic music enthusiast, Chris honed his craft over 10 years spinning vinyl for Melbourne clubs including, Revolver, Honkeytonks, Onesixone, Pony and Melbourne break-ins. After a 4-year DJ residency at e:fiftyfive, he designed soundscapes for theatre shows in La Mama’s Courthouse, Dance House and the Powerhouse.  

In 2011, after a nasty bout of disco fatigue, he moved to Wagga and used his extensive vinyl collection to hold a three-year DJ residency at Thirsty Crow on Kincaid St. Residents of Wagga and surrounds have requested his unique variety of tunes at numerous weddings and private events, and currently, you may catch him on rotation at his Birdhouse residency playing deep/funk/disco variants of house.

When behind the decks, his spectrum of musical styles spans soul to synth-pop to mariachi music and everything in between. In the heart of the Riverina, you can always expect a brave mix of tunes from Chris Thatcher.
