Hume and Hovell Track
Tumut NSW New South Wales 2720
Stretching 426km between Yass and Albury, the track retraces the famous footsteps of Hamilton Hume and William Hovell on their 1824 expedition to Port Phillip.
The three major trackheads, Fitzpatrick, Thomas Boyd and Henry Angel, offer excellent car-based camping, with varied and interesting day walks in either direction from the trackhead.
For the more experienced hiker, 17 campsites have been developed at a day's walking distance apart.
