Gundagai ANZAC Day

Time: 6am Dawn Service, 10:30am march down Main Street to the Cenotaph

Celebrate ANZAC Day in one of Australia's recognisable towns 'Gundagai'.

Starting with the Dawn Service at 6am in Anzac Grove.  At 10.15am will see locals and visitors assemble in front of Lotts Family Hotel for the Anzac march up Sheridan Street to the Cenotaph for the laying of wreaths and main Anzac Day Service with the 7th Light Horse Gundagai Troop in attendance. The march will be led by the Gundagai Town Band followed by the Vintage Car Club vehicles carrying RSL members.

Anzac Grove is Gundagai's main war memorial situated in Landon Street, features an original World War I Memorial hand-crafted by the late Frank Rusconi. The memorial sits at the centre of a grove of 52 kurrajong trees, representing the 52 Gundagai soldiers who died in the Great War and engraved pavers line the “Walk of Honour” commemorating men and women of Gundagai who have served in the Military Forces of Australia.

Enjoy a game of Two-Up or just a catch up at one of the licenced establishments.
