May 2018 Highlights
Fill your May days in Wagga with toe-tapping, original music, finding a bargain or two, and don’t forget mum’s special day.
Before it all though, get off and racing with the the city’s biggest social event– the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup Racing Carnival. Two days of fashion, fun, suits and silks starting with Town Plate Day on Thursday 3 May, followed by the prestigious Wagga Gold Cup on Friday 4 May.
Back up your socialising on Saturday 5 May with an afternoon and evening of local music for the second instalment of Fitz Live. Wagga’s Fitzmaurice Street comes alive with original music ringing out a mix of local businesses – from a bike shop to a microbrewery, Italian restaurant and cafés.
Psst – this is your reminder not to forget Mother’s Day on Sunday 13 May. Spoil mum with a selection of treats at the Mother’s Day Garden High Tea and Lunch at Roseleigh Manor. You could even buy her a voucher for a Food I am cooking class or tickets to the Banff Mountain Film Fest – both happening in May (don’t forget to book yourself in too!)
There are also HEAPS of bargains to be found in Wagga this month, starting with the Amy Hurd Early Learning Centre car boot sale and market stalls. Uncover a new title to read or view at the Wagga Wagga Rotary Club Book Fair, head along to Sturt Public School for the Stamp & Coin Fair or find something new for the home at the Wagga Wagga Antiques and Collectables Fair.
