Join us to celebrate Australia’s first participation in the worldwide music festivities for Make Music Day.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be live streaming into Wagga Wagga City Library from Sydney Opera House.

This fantastic opportunity is made possible through a partnership between the State Library of New South Wales and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Eleven regional libraries will be part of this unique event, that will offer regional audiences a free front-row seat at Verdi’s awe-inspiring Requiem.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Verdi’s Requiem will be conducted by international opera and concert conductor, Oleg Caetani, and feature Angel Blue (soprano), Catherine Carby (mezzo-soprano), Diego Torre (tenor) and Jérôme Varnier (bass) as soloists and The Sydney Philharmonia Choirs.

The session will begin at 5.45pm. Light refreshments will be available before the concert, which commences at 6.30pm.
