Flos Botanical Studio Workshops

Sat 14 Apr 2018  Flos Botanical Studio, Wagga Wagga

Time: Two workshops available, see times below

Ever wanted to know how to care for blooms or style your own posies?

Join Melbourne-based florist Vivien Hollingsworth as she demonstrates simple and effective bouquet-making techniques, as well as flower care and conditioning.

Introduction to Bouquet Making: 10am to 12pm

Learn the basics of floristry and walk away with your own styled posy of blooms this two-hour session. Cost: $125, all materials included.

Dutch Master: 1pm to 3pm

For the more advanced, or those looking for more of a challenge, Vivien is also running a Dutch Master session. Taking inspiration from Flemish painter and lithographer Jan Frans van Dael, who specialised in still lifes of flowers and fruits, in two-hours this session will teach you how to create your very own Dutch Master-inspired arrangement boasting weird and wonderful plant varieties, which you will be able to take home. Cost: $155, all materials included.

These events are part of Fresh. Ideas. Insights. Perspectives festival, running in Wagga Wagga + Surrounds for the month of April.

Cost: Various, see above
Location: Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, corner Baylis Street and Morrow Street, Wagga Wagga
